The alternative definition of a wedding planner is a person who organises weddings as their job. A wedding planner can be very useful if you want to take out the hassle of organising it yourselves, and will tailor your wedding to suit you. Wedding planners will also have contacts in the industry that will allow you access to a whole variety of products and services, and may be able to negotiate a cheaper price on your behalf.
It is always a good idea to shop around for a wedding planner, preferably using recommendations from people you know. Make sure you choose someone who you can get along with; after all, you will be working with them for a year or more.
